Joan Masyga

Joan lives in Cumberland and has been painting since she picked up a brush in 1954. It seemed to come naturally with inspiration from her interest in nature. Flowers and birds are some of her favorite painting subjects. Her painting style is mostly realistic as she likes to re-create the beauty that she sees. Joan's favorite painting mediums are watercolor, oil and acrylic. She also does pressed flower art and commission work. She has taken art classes throughout the years but says the best learning tool is doing the work and painting what you love.
