Linda Ruedy

Linda Ruedy is from Ladysmith Wisconsin, after graduating high school she lived in Madison for seven years. In the fall of 1977 she moved back north to Rice Lake. In 1980 she became a University of Wisconsin student, studying art under Don Ruedy. Linda started taking snapshots as a young girl of eleven with her Brownie camera. In 1977 she purchased a Fuji 35mm and started taking more serious shots. It was also earlier that year she was a model for professional photography Mary Drapkin in Madison. At this time, Linda became aware of photography as an art form. In 2005 she became interested in pursing her own talent behind the lens. Linda purchased a Canon E”O”S” Digital Rebel XT, along with a Sigma AF-MF Zoom lens 170-500mm f%-6.3 APO. In the fall of 2005 her fall collection was presented in the same gallery. In December Linda attended the Shell Lake winter Art show at the Shell Lake Community Center. She was approached by Dr. Brendel of the Rice Lake Pain Center and asked to show her work in his office there and in Hudson. In the summer of 2007 her photos were shown at the Art Gallery in the Courtyard at Chetek. Linda resides in Sarona, Wisconsin with her husband Don.
