Sally Sorenson

Sally Sorenson has lived in Springbrook since 1978, and is originally from central Wisconsin. She attended U.W. Green Bay and U.W. Milwaukee, where she received a B.F.A. And majored in Printmaking.

Her mediums of choice are Printmaking and Drawing, specializing in Etchings, and colored Pencil. She also creates Block Prints and Woodcuts, and combines various techniques and processes to create Monoprints. Her original prints reflect a wide range of subjects, in an ever-evolving style. Etchings are hand printed by the artist on a Griffin Press in small editions, usually 25, plus artist's proofs.

Her current series of large colored pencil drawings focus on impressions of strength and power in the human torso.

She has had her Artwork included in over 30 juried shows, and has illustrated 2 books of poetry. In 2006, Sally was chosen to design and paint a cow for the Wisconsin Cow Parage. In a similar project in early 2007, she completed 2 designs for painted lions as part of the Lion King Extravaganza in Appleton.
